OpenSuse 11.3 Install
This document will cover a complete install of OpenSuse 11.3. I am aiming to keep this basic. OpenSuse is a Linux open source operating system. OpenSuse works grate as a server or a desktop.

Data needed:
All you need to download is OpenSuse 11.3. The rest will come from the repository. Here is the link to download OpenSuse 11.3http://software.opensuse.org/113/en.
Installing OpenSuse 11.3
This is the first screen you will see if you have your bios setup to boot from the DVD ROM Drive.

Select Installation here.

Wait……..

Wait……

Select language.

If this is a new install select New installation.

Select your time zone makes sure you get this right or your time will be off.

Select your desktop environment. Default is KDE.

Select yout partition. If the drive is blank, the partitions will look like this.
If you have a windows install, you will see Suse shrining the Windows partition to make room for Suse. This will duleboot your system.

Enter in the first user information. The password of this user will be the root password.

If everything looks like you want, hit install.

Wait……

Boot the hard disk if you have not removed the CD.

There is your OpenSuse 11.3 install.
